Affiliate - My Story

I joined Wealthy Affiliate
back in November 2006 following months of searching the Internet for a
program that actually worked. Like most people, I’d spent $1000’s on
products that claimed to help me quit my day job for an online life
of luxury, but you won’t be surprised to hear that they all
failed.

With a wife and two children
to support, my factory job barely covered the household bills and I had
no choice but to find a way to generate my own income online so that I
could provide a better life for my family. It was at this time that I
first discovered Wealthy Affiliate, and according to the Wealthy
Affiliate website I would get the most advanced set of tools and
training resources, plus 1-1 support from Kyle and Carson themselves.
This was EXACTLY what I had been
searching for...but was it all too good to be true?
My mind was made up and I
wanted to give Wealthy Affiliate a go, but I still had to
convince my wife that this wasn't just another scam. She knew how much
I wanted to quit my day job and provide a better life for our children,
and so she agreed to let me have just one more try. There was no
turning back…if I was going to do something with my life I would have
to give this my very best shot. I was fed up with working my fingers to
the bone and having nothing to show for it...I was
ready for the Wealthy Affiliate challenge!

On November the 11th 2006, I
became a member of the Wealthy Affiliate University and although I
didn't know it at that time, my decision
to join would eventually change my life. I did have some
Internet marketing experience prior to joining, but what I was after
more than anything was a process that actually worked, and support from
those that were already successful. I didn't think that was too much to
ask for...and without those 2 things I would almost certainly fail and
return to letting someone else control my destiny in the 9-5
environment.

| By my own admission, I was a
bit overwhelmed when I first joined Wealthy Affiliate. Even though the
WA community has come on a long way since I joined back in 2006, it was
still hard to take in the quality and volume of the training
resources made available to members even at that time. Then there were
the expert marketers that appeared to be on hand whenever I needed
them...I was in awe of these highly successful people, and
was amazed that they even wanted
to speak to me! But they did, and it soon became apparent to me that
Wealthy Affiliate was a community full of helpers. |
By mid-2007 I felt that I was ready to make this work for me. My
progress up to this point had been slower than I had anticipated due to
personal reasons, but the constant support I received from Kyle
& Carson ALWAYS kept me moving forward. On
top of that, Wealthy Affiliate was constantly being updated with the
latest Internet marketing tools and resources, and this made the whole process
a lot easier.
By
the end of the year I decided to quit my factory job and concentrate
totally on my online career. It was a huge step to take at that time,
but I was 100% confident that it
was the right decision. Wealthy Affiliate had educated me in a way that
I never believed was possible online, and for once in my life I felt in
TOTAL control of my own destiny.
It
was also about this time that I came up with the idea of spreading the
word about Wealthy Affiliate so that other people could see just how
effective the program really is. I couldn't help
but think that there were probably millions of people just like me out
there...all searching for a way to take control of their lives, rather
than accepting the 9-5 lifestyle. I wanted to show them that there is a
genuine opportunity out there for them, but maybe they just hadn't
found it yet.
And
so the idea of Wealthy
Affiliate For Free was born!

By the end of 2008 I had made
significant progress with my online career, and this prompted 2
life-changing moments. The first of these came about In January of 2009
when Kyle & Carson invited me to work more closely with members
within the WA community by becoming their Super Affiliate
Coach.

Needless to say I accepted what was an amazing
offer by 2 of the most successful marketers on the Internet. Both Kyle
& Carson know how devoted I am to helping change the lives of
others through my Wealthy Affiliate For Free website and within the
Wealthy Affiliate community, so I was delighted to be given this
opportunity!
This was my chance to give
back to the community that had helped me become successful online, and
in January 2009 the 'WA Super Affiliate' program
was set up to help members fast track their promotions.
The program was an instant
hit with Wealthy Affiliate's as it provided them with a series of
tutorials and resources to help them focus on specific promotional
methods.
Within a matter of weeks it
became clear that the dedicated structure of the Super Affiliate
resources were making a big difference to the success of
members, and that's very rewarding. I also had the chance to
do what I love the most, and that is help people understand this whole "make
money online" game and make something of their
lives. I had after all gone through the entire Wealthy Affiliate
training program myself, so I knew EXACTLY what
"newbie's" needed help with the most.
Then in February 2009 I had
by far my best moment ever online as an Internet
marketer when I was invited to meet up with Kyle & Carson
themselves in their Skyloft apartment in
the MGM Grand Las Vegas!
This opened up a whole new
world to me that I never knew existed, and it was certainly a fry cry
from the 9-5 lifestyle that I had left behind some months earlier. In
the blink of an eye I had gone from being a dejected 9-5 factory
worker, to someone spending 4 days with 2 multi-millionaire marketers
in the lap of Vegas luxury...what an incredible feeling!
Spending time with Kyle
& Carson was more valuable than ANYTHING
that I have ever done in my life, and it proved to me how totally
dedicated they are to changing peoples lives at Wealthy Affiliate. They
managed to change mine, and now (with their help) I'm able to
contribute to helping change the lives of others.

| Many people assume that
there's some big secret when it comes to generating a full time income
online, but in my experience it comes down to just 3 things - good
training...good support...and EFFORT. My online career only
came to life when I found Wealthy Affiliate and the support and
training that is offered to the community. That only leaves
the "effort" part, and that is where YOU come in. If you want to change
your life even half as much as I did when I first joined, there's
absolutely no reason why you can't at least replicate my success at
Wealthy Affiliate.
